Our unique charitable leadership project provides a life-changing opportunity for ordinary women with extra-ordinary goals. Since our first climb of Kilimanjaro in support of a tiny Zimbabwe orphange in 2004, five teams of inspiring women have joined our high altitude fund raising adventures to learn more about themselves as they make a difference to others.

Girls on Top have traveled from the Andes to the Amazon, in Africa and to the remote flanks of the Tibetan ranges. Our teams have hosted events ranging from yoga weekends and fashion parades, to film nights and art exhibitions as they explore ways to use their passions on behalf of our charity partners. Together we have traversed the Andes, Himalya, explored the Amazon and climbed to the roof of Africa - journeys which have enablked us to raise almost $100,000 for grassroots projects lead by women with a vision to support and enrich life in these regions.

This years team raised more than $20,000 to support the medical outreach work of Amazon Promise in the Peruvian jungle, as well as fund rescue and education work at the Amazon Animal Rescue Centre where our donation will build a new school and fund free visits for local students in 2009. What team members say about their journey

Each year Girls on Top take an all-girl team on a fundraising adventure exploring community, leadership and inspiration in their own communities before heading off on expedition to the world's greatest mountains. Our project encourages each team member to explore the world of adventure and possibility beyond her normal limits, to lead, inspire and take support from others, to take her own journey toward her dreams and make a contribution to others along the way.
