Girls on Top created the Shine program as a way of bringing the journey of leadership, challenge, adventure and passion into the business environments where most of our expedition members have learnt their foundation skills for success on expeditions.

While the top of a mountain might seem a world away from a desk job, it's here at work, in the teams, environments and with the pressures and challenges of every day life that we all learn, practise and live with the results of our way of life. Selecting a staff member and sponsoring her through a Girls on Top expedition offers business an extraordinary way to motivate, energise and inspire staff, as well as other businesses, custumers or clients and at the same time contribute to leadership in the community at large.

Shine creates a bridge between our world of work, and the worlds where we imagine ourselves daring to be extra-ordinary, to create change, to challenge ourselves, to see a bigger picture and be part of a life that thrills, excites and brings out our best.

As part of our team, winning business women create, plan and deliver a fund raising event to add at least $5 000 to our charity kitty for the year. They are challenged to take an adventure in imagination, planning, fund raising, media, public speaking and team work, as well as the trials and insights of their high altitude journey through the magnificent mountains of our expedition.

Meanwhile, the Girls on Top team gain the skills and experience of a staff member from a leading organisation and the chance to let women in business know that our work and our approach to the every day parts of our lives are the foundations on which we can achieve our dreams, strive for happiness and make a difference in the world.
